How does zbiddy really work
Since penny auctions were established, there have been many complaints lodged against them for their set up. In no particular order, the most prevalent complaints are the following:. First, because every bid on a penny auction site extends the clock, these auctions can go on for hours, sometimes even for a day or longer. Penny auction sites added auto bidding features to try and stop this from becoming a serious drawback to using their sites, except that the auto bid features just contribute further to this problem.
Also, there seems to be an inordinate number of users suspicious of penny auction sites using bots to bid up the price of items. This can always be chalked up to sour grapes, but there is a vast number of users who complain that clocks freeze up right when they are about to bid, or that the auction closes out sometimes when there should still be time left on the clock. There is no proof that these glitches come from dirty dealings, but the complaints about them just highlight the issues with having an auction system with a potentially never ending clock.
Finally, unlike standard auction sites like eBay, in order to place a bid on ZBiddy you must pay 60 cents for each bid in a set package of bids. This means that if you lose the auction, you end up losing money with nothing to show for it.
The situation of paying simply for the chance of winning has caused many people, both supporters and critics, to say that penny auctions are more like gambling sites than they are auction sites.
Some people have no problem with this, while others are extremely upset that a website promoting itself as an auction site is more similar to a gambling site. You are provided with the bids for that cost, but there is no option to start at ZBiddy with another package.
On the other hand, ZBiddy has the penny auction option, but they also have auctions where the bids increase the price by 10 cents, meaning that the cost of these items will rise far more quickly. Your email address will not be published.

Barbara says:. November 6, at pm. I have won some good items that have been delivered, but there are some auctions that I won back in December that have still not been delivered and the selection of new auctions has recently dropped to almost nothing.
Looks to me like the site is shutting down and I probably won't get the last items that I won. Am glad more people agreed that this site is fraud. Just in case I saved most of my chats conversation with them, all their promise and fail.
They are total fraud even though at the initial time they were okay and later all the things i won including ipod never received them and some that i received didn't work, they even gave me an empty usb card reader. I left more than one thousand bids for them when I noticed they were playing games and more over nothing good to bid for from them. Tip for consumers: Do not even try them plssssssssssssssssssssss. I doubt I'll ever see my money again, but this place is totally fraudulent and a complete rip off!
I feel like this is a total bait and switch and I want my money returned. As it stands they have no return policy so I am contacting my credit card company today!
This place is a total scam! I have just read negative comments about this zbiddy and unfortunately, I have just joined them! HOW do I delete my infos? I have been trying for over a year to win anything worthwhile on this site. Now it seems the only thing available to bid on is pure junk. They have quit auctioning all but a few gift cards except a few 5 or 10 dollar amt. When you get done bidding on them and pay your delivery charge you are sure to lose money.
This site truly is a joke! Zbiddy is the best penny auction site. I won several items including an iphone. You need patience and strategy to win on such website. It's not the site I do agree their sign-up practices are deceiving, however the issue is with the number of people using the site. They make their money through the charges on bids. Even if they pay list Not bad, whoever thought of this and got people to participate in it is a genius. First of all I don't work for this company.
I have a tip for everyone. Sign up at the cheapest level first. Then, call them and say you didn't know you had to pay to play. They will immediately start giving you discounts. I said no I want my money back 10 times and each time they offered me something more. When it was the same deal the 9th and 10th time, I knew I got the best offer. It seems they don't have their employees bidding on this deal if what people say is true.
I got the cards and they really are worth money. You use the cards to buy vouchers to save a crapload of money at restaurants you want to eat at. They charge a "delivery fee" that exceeds the cost of the entire subscription. I have yet to win any other auctions but I have been told that if you login at AM on a weeknight, it is the best time.
I have not done so but have heard you can get stuff way cheap as nobody is bidding. TIP: Best deal is bid for gift cards. However, still not sure if its just the employee's bidding it up until everyone quits. Final Words: Jury is out on this but I have won restaurant. So, there is something to this regardless of all the people who seem to hate this website. Be smart about it but know it can be a big time waster. Not a real fan of penny auction sites. Seems they work great for some, not for most.
I happily paid for my deals, went to redeem them and realized why they were so easy to win. There's like a million different black-out dates, restrictions and time restraints. For hotel discounts, you have to book at least 4 consecutive nights. Now, I'm on a budget and don't travel often. When I do, it's not for long periods of time. I try to get the best deals on airfare and I certainly try to avoid the most expensive nights to stay in a hotel.
I thought winning these vouchers would be a great way to do so. It was a complete waste of my time and money bidding on these. What a bummer! There are few people who are falsely bad mouthing about zbiddy. How can zbiddy charge you during registration when you never give any CC info to them? They never ask for credit card while registering.
Zbiddy has shipped all the products which I won. I really trust this site. They put multiple ads on craigslist, then when you respond, they send an email saying they JUST sold the product but Its not OK to play bait and switch.
Due to this deceit I will never use zBiddy and I will also spread the word that it uses dishonest, unethical tactics in its marketing! Only gave one star since you have to give something. Kept using live chat and got the same response. Wait dats more. Filled out the form and waited for email confirmation stating when ut will be shipped. Tried live chst now disabled and website has no auctions. Got an email from zbiddy billing saying they are refunding the cost if iPod but nothing about shipping and handling or missing gift card The website appears functioning though there have been no auctions since early February.
Live chat doesn't work and they have not returned emailed to get auction codes on items won since September of Everything everyone has said in their reviews happened to me; wasted time on the phone, lies, misleading advertising.
We can report them to the Department of Consumer Fraud and several others! Please contact me about finding an attorney that will take this case-class action on contingency! The biggest SCAM! I didn't have a clue I'm so upset! These people are nothing but thieves! When you do a live chat with them its a pack of lies
