Muscle recovery BCAA's and highly needed hydrating electrolytes gets me through a hard 35 mile bike ride and without sugar. Not sure about the performance ingredients as a high dose of B vitamins will work better to give you energy before a workout. No one drink can do it all, but it is highly used in my arsenal for recovery along with a whey protein drink.

Only 4 stars because the flavors are an acquired taste. I've tried all the flavors. I got the blueberry flavor it taste great and my body feel good during my workouts and after I give it 5 stars. The old apple flavor was so good I just drank it all the time when I want a drink. I saw the reviews of the new flavors and expected the worst. I got the new apple anyway and it is drinkable but it now tastes like generic citrus bordering on lemon. It does not dissolve well in water and is fairly acidic tasting.

So on an island the new apple would maybe get 3 stars, but since they took a great product and made it borderline bad I give 2 stars.
